Volunteer Positions at Mid Coast Senior Health

Across Mid Coast–Parkview Health, there are a number of volunteer opportunities that allow you to generously share your time. Positions are listed below. After applying, you will meet with the Director of Volunteer Services to select a position that best fits your skills and goals.
 
Dining assistance
Hosting in Thornton Hall dining room, help Food & Nutrition Manager
Gardening assistance
Volunteers support our gardener Claudia, planting, weeding and watering in season. No mowing is necessary.
Hand massage
These volunteers need a medical background and must complete the hospital hand massage training program.
Pet Visits
Pets of volunteers may be considered for pet visiting, provided the animals are well behaved and in good health, and can furnish proof of up-to-date shots from a vet.The volunteer/pet team does have to meet certain criteria to participate.
Spiritual Wellness Program
Volunteers are specially trained to participate in spiritual wellness for patients and their families. Volunteers must be accepted into the program by meeting with the Spiritual Wellness advisor.
